Swim team depends on parent volunteers! Thank you for your help!

The Jefferson Swim League (JSL) is an all-volunteer organization that provides area children the opportunity to swim on a summer swim team. The JSL swim meets require over 90 volunteers per meet. That means that we have over 540 volunteer spots to fill over the course of the 6 dual meets. JSL Meets are an exciting time for our swimmers to show how hard they have been working in practice.  These meets are also a wonderful time for our amazing FSBC community to show our support!

All meet and practice team families are required to volunteer during the summer season according to the policies outlined below. 

Practice Team

• Practice Team families must volunteer at/contribute to at least 1 swim team social event during the summer 2025 season. 

Meet Team 

• Meet Team families must volunteer for 4 sessions during swim meets during the summer 2025 season. (1 session = one half of a swim meet)  
• Any families with JSL Champs swimmers must additionally volunteer at Champs. 
• If your child(ren) will not be attending all meets, you need to either fulfill your volunteer obligation or reach out to the Aquatics Director for an exception.

You must sign up to volunteer or pay to opt out in order to register your child(ren) for the swim team. Once you have completed this step, you will be emailed a registration link.

If circumstances change and you are not able to meet a volunteer obligation, you must coordinate with another family to be your substitute or contact the Aquatics Director.  If you do not meet your volunteer commitment on the day of the event, a $150 charge will be billed to your FSBC account. 

Sign up to volunteer or opt out below. Home Meets take place on June 18, July 2 and July 16. Away Meets take place on June 11, June 25, and July 9. Thank you advance for your help! 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING VOLUNTEER SLOTS:

• One volunteer slot = half of the meet; the 1st half of the meet will be approximately 2.5 hours while the 2nd half will be approximately 2 hours.
• All 8&under swimmers will be finished swimming in the 1st half of the meet. Please note which half of the meet you are volunteering for.
• Parents of older swimmers, please try to fill the 2nd half slots and leave the 1st half slots for parents of 8&unders. Also, unless you have young swimmers, please do not take the Wednesday, Thursday or Friday morning slots – we try to reserve these volunteer slots for parents that must assist their young swimmers during the meet.
• Positions for Stroke & Turn Judge and Starter require JSL training and certification. We REALLY need Judges! If you are interested in volunteering for these positions, please contact the Aquatics Director.
• Please note if you sign up as a Floater Volunteer you are agreeing to serve in any position that we need help filling, whether it is as a Runner, Timer, Clerk, Table Worker, etc.
• If you have special circumstances that prevent you from supporting the swim team, please contact the Aquatics Director.
