FSBC Annual Oyster Roast

10/25 UPDATE: Ticket sales are now closed. Check back next year!

join us for the FSBC Annual Oyster Roast and Halloween Festival on Saturday, October 25. This year’s party will take place outside on the FSBC grounds with extra oysters, even more kids’ activities, and live music. Stiff Peaks will be playing and we can’t wait!

Here’s the plan for the younger set:

  • 4 PM ON THE DOT: Gates Open for Kid’s Pumpkin Hunt. (We wait for no one! Past events such as candy hunts and raft races have taught us that the FSBC youth want to be unleashed and that holding them back is very stressful).
  • 4:20 PM or so: Mummy Relay Races
  • 4:40 PM, give or take a bit: Monster Mash Candy Walk
  • 4:15 – 6:15 PM: Spooky Game Stations with Prizes and Pumpkin Decorating
  • 6:15 PM: Halloween Movie in the ballroom

And for the Grown-ups:

With the kids occupied and loosely supervised (i.e. we will block all swimming and escape attempts), the adults can dedicate themselves to shucking and consuming oysters. Stiff Peaks will take the stage at 5 PM and play two sets, ending around 8 PM.

Ticket Options for FSBC Members:

  • FSBC Member Adult Ticket, including All You Can Eat Oysters: $18
  • FSBC Member Adult Ticket, no oysters: $4
  • FSBC Member Kids Ticket: $7

Ticket Options for Guests:

This event is not open to the public, but members may bring guests with them.

  • Guest Adult Ticket, including All You Can Eat Oysters: $28
  • Guest Adult Ticket, no oysters: $14
  • Guest Kids Ticket: $17

There will be additional kids’ and adult food (clam chowder & cornbread) available for purchase in the café as well as beer and wine at the bar.

FAQs

Q. My child loves oysters and will want to eat them all. What kind of ticket should I get them?

A. We commend you on your child’s sophisticated palate. Please purchase them an Adult oyster ticket.

Q. My child is oyster-curious and might want to try an oyster. Do I still need to get them an adult ticket?

A. Nope. We’re not here to split hairs (we mean bivalves!) about a taste here and there.

Q. My teen is coming and is too cool for Halloween games. Do I still need to get them a youth ticket?

A. Really? They don’t even want to find and decorate a pumpkin? Muscle out the little kids on the candy walk? Then you should just get them an adult ticket.

Q. Should we wear costumes?

A. Yes, always yes. But this isn’t officially a costumed event so show up as you will.

Q. What if it rains?

A. Bite your tongue.

Q. No, seriously.

A. We’ll move the party inside. The clubhouse will smell like oysters for the next year, but it will have been worth it.
