Each summer, Fry’s Spring Beach Club (FSBC) employs nearly 200 staff as lifeguards, café workers, camp counselors, swim coaches, swim instructors, facilities crew workers, and front desk staff.

The majority of our staff are local youth, ages 14 and up. FSBC provides these employees with their first job, their first real set of responsibilities, and their first paycheck. While a first job can be a daunting or lackluster experience, it can also be an extremely positive and empowering one.  Our goal is to achieve the latter for staff working at FSBC.

FSBC provides teenage staff with the tools and opportunities needed to develop social-emotional and leadership skills while gaining valuable work experience. We promote healthy relationships and community connections and foster confidence and a strong work ethic. Our goal is not only for teenagers to succeed in their jobs at FSBC, but also to develop into thriving, successful young adults. We are a learning organization and consider our staff an important part of the community here.

Community outreach is a significant part of our hiring process. As FSBC strives to be an inclusive community, we work to ensure that the staff is a reflection of this priority. We would like all staff to appreciate and learn to work alongside teens of various backgrounds.

Before you proceed, please make sure that you meet the following eligibility requirements for each position:

• Facilities Crew Members: At least 14 years-old
• Lifeguards: At least 15 years old and Red Cross Lifeguard-certified
• Cafe Staff: At least 16 years old
• Swim Instructors: At least 16 year old or 15 years old and Red Cross Lifeguard-certified
• Camp Counselors: At least 15 years old or 14 years old with prior experience as an FSBC Counselor-in-Training
• Swim Coaches: At least 16 years old or 15 years old and Red Cross Lifeguard-certified; Coaches age 18 and under must also participate in the FSBC Swim Team.
• Front Desk Staff: At least 18 years old

Experienced lifeguards and cafe staff may also apply for pool and cafe management positions.
